Crafted from a naturally breathable blend of linen and LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose, derived from 100% sustainable forestry and produced using processes that reduce water consumption, support quick biodegradability, and ensure full traceability from source to garment.

Garment Care

We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

Discharge printing begins by dyeing the fabric before a special paste is hand block or hand screen printed onto the surface. Fine corn flour is dusted over the fabric to guide precise placement, with the process requiring warm conditions to react correctly.

The fabric is then dried and steam-cured, releasing colour from the printed areas. After washing and finishing, the design emerges as a soft, breathable print that feels seamlessly part of the fabric.

"This is by THE best purchase I've made this entire year so far! Words cannot aptly describe just how much I love the Zahra Midi Dress Fern. The material? *chefs kiss*. By the time night had come around, I was half tempted to wear them as pyjamas! That's hows beautifully soft the fabric is. The style is so cute, and the print is even cuter. I appreciate that this style has sleeves that come down to the wrist, as I am quite self-concious of my arms and cannot leave the house in a sleeveless dress. Daughters of India, if you would ever bring out more full-length sleeve styles in the future, I'd buy your whole stock! I wore it to work the day after I received it, and received many compliments on it. I'm someone who cares a lot about modesty and comfort, so the relaxed fit was a hit for me. It is intentionally designed to be oversized, so make sure to have a look at the size chart before purchasing. The only 'issue' I've had with it so far is that it sometimes falls off my shoulders, but I found this can easily be fixed by adjusting the draw strings at the front. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase, and am awaiting the restock of the Zahra Dress in the Indigo print (XS) with excitement. Thank you so much DOI team for this beautiful dress!"
