HAND SCREEN PRINTED IN INDIA

Screen-printing requires its own special expertise, involving large stencils that span the width of the printing tables. The artisans position the screen carefully, pressing ink through the stencil in sweeping motions, building up each colour layer to create the final print. Two artisans work in tandem, each responsible for a side of the screen, moving in perfect rhythm to ensure the ink is evenly applied across the fabric.

Environmental responsibility is woven into our process. Our printers are committed to responsible water use, with channels in place to collect the water used in the screen printing process and deliver it to a nearby industrial water facility for recycling. This careful handling reflects our dedication not only to craftsmanship but also to the environmental impact of our work.

"The dress is very elegant yet whimsical. I ordered 2XL due to chest size, but at 165cm it was a lot fabric and also quite long, so I reordered in L and it was perfect everywhere in that it looked much like the larger model wore it in the advertising, so I was happy. However, I have plumper arms and it was a tad tight around the arm. I queried with the very helpful staff at DOI who responded quickly & decided to try a fix. Some dresses are made with elastic sewn in, which makes it impossible to alter them. Happily the DOI craftspeople have made the band a simple elastic that you can access easily to alter yourself. The dress now fits me perfectly. It is very casual but not cheap looking. Given the climate where I live is very hot I will get the opportunity to wear it a lot. The fabric is beautiful, but I won't be doing any cooking or gardening it as it is thin. It has a sheath sewn in, so not transparent, but it is lovely and floaty. It is a flattering style for a fuller figure and the colour tones are true to the photos and excellent for the summer complected."
